Join us for the 3rd Annual Speech Competition at Brenau University
  • You could win cash prize(s) for your wallet and awards that will look great on your resume. Hone your public speaking skills and share wonderful ideas with others. Enjoy networking opportunities with the Brenau community and students from other schools. 
The deadline to submit an entry has been extended to Monday, November 4th! Please register if you plan to enter the competition and/or attend the competition, then send your recorded speech entry to adeeb1@brenau.edu. We invite 5-7 minute recorded speech submissions, with or without visual aids, until October 25, 2024 November 4th, 2024Once your recording has been submitted, a panel of Brenau faculty, staff, and students will determine who will advance to the final round. Audience members can watch the competition online, but must pre-register for access to the live Zoom on competition day.
  • All students at the high school and college level are invited to submit.
  • In honor of the "O" year of Brenau University's GOLD Program, we are celebrating ownership, which includes encouraging personal responsibility and civic engagement.
  • Competitors in the final round will be invited to campus in-person to deliver their speeches; the best speeches in each age category will receive cash prizes and Brenau swag!
  • You must be present at the speech competition in person in order to be eligible to win prizes. This event is hosted by the Department of Communication at Brenau University.
